Ding dong the bells are giong to chime!

This morning we awoke early and did the traditional wedding prep. By the time the sun was kind of up (about 9:30 AM) we all left (all 14 of us) and made our way by bus to the oldest wooden church in Norway (or some stat like that). Kev's dad did a blessing while there.

After all of our toes nearly fell off due to the cold, we then made our way up above Bergen. Amazing views! Mindy's papa then did his blessing.  There was a fantastic cafe that we then had an impromptu mini reception at (delightful cake and coffee for all!) and there was even the feeding of cake to each other.

Okay, now that there have been one pirate wedding, two blessings and one impromptu reception, we might as well get to the real thing. Back to the little church we found yesterday for the main event. We did film it but it may be awhile before we get our hands on that footage. Jonny did a fantastic job officiating, Mindy walked down the isle to little music boxes playing 'What a Wonderful World', there were tears of joy from family and friends and the photographer was running around snapping as many photos as he could. As far as weddings go, besides being in Norway with only 14 people, the wedding was traditional-well as about as traditional as Mindy and Kevin are (Jonny read his notes off of his iPhone that was hidden by his bible).

Then back to our apartment for a little dinner reception!

We had a fantastic day and so did Mindy and Kevin. Just so ya know, the 'fly by the seat of your pants' method of planning a wedding does work! It was amazing and we feel so fortunate to have been here to witness some of our very best friends becoming man and wife!
